ABOUT PORK FOR THE PANTRY
The Pork for the Pantry program was started in 2017 by the Ole Dogz to address a need for local food pantries to provide a protein source to families in need. The program has partnered with local hog producers to find better utilization of hogs not fit into the fast-paced method of operation for the packing plants to provide sausage to these pantries.
The program has continued to expand and now serves four different pantries in four different local Mid-Missouri counties.
All net profits generated by Ole Dogz Fish Bait are donated to the Pork for the Pantry program.
